laperruque is an artisanal workshop based in Paris, that creates minimalistic, easy to use and sustainable leather items. As the founders say, there is beauty in everyday objects. By using them for a long time they get a beautiful patina. Their visible simplicity and subtlety go together with a foolproof quality.
“That is the reason why we opened our workshop. We wanted to develop our own artisanal know-how and question our relationship to consumption and production”.
All items are produced by laperruque are handmade in the small Parisian atelier located in Le Marais. The craftsmen use outstandingly soft and strong vegetable tanned leathers. The leather is ethically sourced in France and is treated in the greatest local tanneries owned by or working for the most prestigious French luxury houses.
laperruque does not mass produce. All the products are limited editions, made one by one using traditional tools, sometimes over one hundred years old. The artisans follows each object through all the steps of fabrication process. This guarantees the best quality and durability.
