Art Deco Teapot by Marcellus Aubry
Large stoneware teapot by Marcellus Aubry (Châtelet - Belgium 1909 – 1982) from the Bouffioulx Art Deco period.
Marcellus collaborated with his father Edgar Aubry. for twenty years. He is considered one of the best Belgian ceramist of that period. He keeps the techniques and local stoneware tradition, adding modernity in the shapes of his creations.
His creations are present in the Museum of Reims (France) and in the Belgian “Collections de la Province du Hainaut”.
This piece is signed and in very good condition.
