Monica Backström (1939–2020) was one of Sweden’s leading glass artists in the 20th and 21st century. After her art studies at ”Konstfack” in Stockholm, she worked for the Kosta Boda glassworks for more than 40 years. Monica became a prominent designer of glass mushrooms, eggs and vases with colorful expressions. Her artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
